about
Hi!! My name is Starry, I'm a queer Vietnamese digital artist and cosplayer!! I mostly draw danmei/baihe and BL, but I also draw from games, anime, and shows, etc. I am passionate about queer and cultural representation; I try my best to show that through my art!!I love to experiment with my colors and make my art pop, but I've also been trying out simple sketching and inking to create a grunge look, something personal and emotional to look at. I also love to make my art look like watercolors, warm and nostalgic, which fills me with a cozy feeling. I want my art to be able to connect with others and express myself through my art.I mostly work with Procreate on a really old iPad I've had since middle school, but I hope one day I can branch out to different mediums such as traditional art, painting with acrylics and watercolors, sculpting, etc. I hope to experiment and try Clip Studio Paint and drawing on a tablet!!My greatest inspirations are any artists that put their own culture, tradition, and identity in their art. My main interest is asian history and art and queer media!! I'm also passionate about spreading awareness and supporting those I stand by, using my voice to stand up for others and people in my community. It's my first time opening commissions (hopefully an art shop in the future!!) I hope I can make your experience a good one!! I've always wanted to do this work ever since I was a little kid who had dreams of freelance art, bond with others over nerdy interests, and hopefully giving the same experience I had as a kid to inspire others as well. Please contact me if you have any questions!! <3
